About this vacancy
As a PLC Software / Automation Engineer at TMC, you will work on diverse automation projects for clients in the Rotterdam and The Hague regions. These projects may include activities in (petro)chemicals, machinery, energy, food, the maritime sector, or the high-tech industry. Your responsibilities will involve designing, developing, programming, and optimizing industrial automation solutions. Depending on the project, you'll work with PLC and SCADA systems, process automation, machine controls, and the integration of new technologies. You are someone who enjoys taking responsibility, thinking proactively, and thrives on variety and technically challenging problems. **What will you do?** - Design and program PLC/SCADA solutions (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Beckhoff). - Test, commission, and optimize control systems. - Analyze malfunctions and propose structural improvements. - Work on both greenfield and brownfield projects. - Collaborate with engineers from TMC and clients to develop high-quality technical solutions. - Contribute to knowledge sharing within the TMC community.
What we expect from you
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of one or more PLC/SCADA platforms.
- An affinity for project-based work. Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
- A proactive attitude and the ambition to continuously develop yourself.
- Proficiency in the Dutch language.
