Industrial organizations face significant challenges. Growth, limited availability of personnel, increasing complexity, and higher demands on quality and delivery reliability call for different ways of working. As an Operations Transformation Project Lead, you address these types of issues within Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain. A project often begins with a problem for which the solution is not yet clear. You help the client refine the question and translate it into a concrete project approach. Together with the client and subject matter experts, you analyze processes and performance, identify key bottlenecks, and determine where improvements are possible. But your role doesn't stop there. You translate insights into a practical improvement approach and then take a leading role in its implementation. Depending on the project: • you translate complex operational challenges into a clear project approach; • you set up assessments and analyses and guide their execution; • you connect the right subject matter expertise to the challenge; • you translate insights into concrete improvement initiatives and an actionable roadmap; • you organize decision-making processes and monitor progress and results; • you work closely with people from the shop floor to management; • you lead improvement and transformation projects from analysis to implementation. You don’t need to be the expert on every operational topic yourself. You are the one who brings structure, connects people and expertise, and ensures the project moves forward.
What we expect from you
We are looking for someone who is strong analytically but above all gains energy from actually achieving improvement. You have: • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in an industrial environment; • Experience leading improvement projects, for example in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement; • The ability to break down a broad or complex issue into a clear approach; • Experience with project management and stakeholder management; • Strong communication skills and the ability to switch between the shop floor and management; • A practical and results-oriented way of working; • Good skills in Excel and PowerPoint; • Affinity with digital tools and AI, such as Microsoft Copilot, and the drive to use these effectively in your work; • Professional proficiency in Dutch. A background in, for example, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a similar field suits this role well. Experience or certification in Lean Six Sigma or project management is a plus. We are specifically looking for someone who not only analyzes and advises but also wants to take responsibility for what happens next and gains energy from working with the client to achieve change.
