Mechanical Engineer

About this vacancy

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you work on complex engineering challenges within the high-tech, machinery, and aerospace sectors. In this role, you are responsible for specifying, designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical modules and components according to strict technical requirements and industry standards. You collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team, substantiating your design choices with calculations, material selections, and simulations to ensure functionality, reliability, and manufacturability. Your main responsibilities: - Designing and developing mechanical systems, modules, and components in SolidWorks; - Implementing technical changes and improving existing designs; - Collaborating extensively with production, R&D, and quality control to ensure all designs meet high-quality and safety standards; - Solving technical challenges during the development and production process; - Carefully documenting designs in accordance with internal guidelines and industry standards.

What we expect from you

• A completed technical education at Bachelor's or Master's level in the field of Mechanical Engineering or similar;
• at least 5 years of relevant experience in machinery, high-tech, shipbuilding, or aerospace;
• solid experience with SolidWorks or a comparable program;
• strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude;
• good communication skills in Dutch and currently residing in the Netherlands.
