As a Mechanical Designer, you will have the chance to work on exciting development projects at some of Västerås' leading industrial companies.
In the role, you can work on everything from product development and the design of mechanical systems to the further development of existing products and production equipment. Our clients in Västerås operate in areas such as energy, electrification, automation, defense, process industry, and advanced manufacturing.
Projects can involve design in CAD environments, the development of mechanical components and systems, prototype creation, verification and testing, as well as technical collaboration with cross-functional teams in areas like electronics, software, production, and procurement. For example, you may participate in the development of future electrification solutions, high-tech automation systems, sustainable energy solutions, or advanced industrial equipment. Regardless of the assignment, you will have the opportunity to contribute your technical expertise, develop professionally, and create long-term value for our clients.
What we expect from you
As a person, you are meticulous, and you need to be able to turn ideas and concepts into practical and functional solutions through design, technical analysis, and collaboration with various stakeholders. We place great emphasis on your personal commitment and your willingness to drive your development forward. Since the work involves continuous improvements, this is something that drives and interests you. We highly value experience working with various materials, CAD programs, and PLM/PDM systems. The requirements for the role are that you have:
- An academic engineering degree in mechanical engineering, product development, industrial design, or equivalent
- Several years of experience in product and/or design development
- Experience in creating 2D and 3D drawings in CAD programs
- Proven experience in structural calculations
- Fluent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
