Mechanical Design Engineer

About this vacancy

• Op vraag van de Sales Engineer werk je een eerste conceptontwerp uit dat aansluit bij de klantbehoeften.
• Na goedkeuring van de offerte ontvang je tijdens de kick-offmeeting een uitgebreid projectbriefing, waarna je in nauw overleg met de Project Engineer het definitieve ontwerp verder uitwerkt.
• Je neemt de lead in het technisch uitwerken van complexe oplossingen: je vertaalt concepten naar duidelijke tekeningen en ontwikkelt gedetailleerde productie- en montageplannen.
• Je zorgt ervoor dat alle technische tekeningen tijdig klaar zijn en binnen de vooropgestelde budgetten worden gerealiseerd.
• Op basis van 3D-concepten maak je nauwkeurige technische 2D‑CAD-tekeningen. Naast ontwerpwerk neem je ook administratieve taken op, zoals het opstellen van materiaallijsten en het plaatsen van bestellingen bij leveranciers.
• Samen met de Project Engineer stem je je tekeningen af met klanten en leveranciers om tot duidelijke afspraken te komen.
• Tijdens het volledige project overleg je regelmatig met het projectteam om voortgang en technische details op elkaar af te stemmen.

What we expect from you

• Master’s degree in engineering and look back on initial work experience with 3D drawing using parametric drawing packages such as Inventor.
• You have a hands-on mentality. You combine a smooth project with well-considered choices and adapt your approach when needed.
• You have good communication skills and dare to make things discussable.
• You have strong organizational skills and can set the right priorities to meet deadlines.
• You can respond quickly to customer expectations and know how to translate their needs into technical solutions.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French and/or German is definitely a plus!
• You will join a driven team where you work both independently and collaboratively to realize technical designs.
