About this vacancy
As a Inspector of Civil Structures at TMC, you are responsible for mapping the technical condition of civil constructions such as bridges, viaducts, culverts, locks, and quay walls. You know where to look to identify defects and what they mean for the lifespan and safety of an object. You perform visual inspections (for instance, in accordance with NEN 2767 or CUR reports), process findings into inspection reports, and advise on maintenance, renovation, or replacement. You collaborate closely with asset managers, administrators, engineers, and maintenance parties. At TMC, you’ll have the opportunity to develop yourself within a field that is becoming increasingly important due to aging infrastructure, sustainability, and safety requirements.
What we expect from you
- Proficiency in the Dutch language at C1/C2 level, both spoken and written.
- A completed vocational (mbo) or higher professional (hbo) education in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 0 to 5 years of experience in inspections, management, or maintenance of civil structures.
- Knowledge of NEN 2767, CUR 117, or other inspection guidelines is a plus.
- You are precise, analytical, and have a keen eye for detail.
- You are independent, responsible, and able to report your findings clearly.
- Willingness to conduct inspections at various locations in the Netherlands.
