About this vacancy
As an Environmental Advisor for Civil Projects at TMC, you act as the link between the project team and the surrounding environment. You ensure that the interests of residents, entrepreneurs, officials, and other stakeholders are effectively considered in the preparation and execution of infrastructural projects. You provide advice on participation, communication, permits, and environmental management, and you assist in drafting BLVC plans, stakeholder analyses, and conditioning frameworks. You ensure clear communication, manageable risks, and community support—essential for the success of civil projects such as area developments, reconstructions, or water and road construction. At TMC, you work within a team of technically focused and process-oriented professionals. You will have ample opportunity to develop yourself and contribute to socially relevant projects.
What we expect from you
- Proficiency in the Dutch language at C1/C2 level, both spoken and written.
- A completed higher professional or university degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Management, Public Administration, or Civil Engineering.
- 0 to 5 years of experience as an environmental consultant, project assistant, permit coordinator, or similar.
- You are strong in communication, politically and administratively sensitive, and work in a structured manner.
- Affinity with civil engineering projects in public spaces or infrastructure.
- Experience in drafting communication plans, BLVC documents, or environmental analyses is an advantage.
- You maintain an overview, know how to connect, and easily navigate between stakeholders.
