About this vacancy
As a power systems engineer with our customers around Västerås, you will be responsible for the design, development, and dimensioning of power systems and electrical installations. The roles often involve working with power systems, relay protection, and control systems as well as performing technical analyses and network studies to ensure operationally reliable and efficient solutions. You will prepare technical documentation, drawings, and specifications and work on dimensioning and selecting electrical components and systems.
Furthermore, you will participate in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of power installations and ensure that technical solutions comply with applicable standards, requirements, and regulations. You will be involved throughout the various phases of the project, from feasibility studies and planning to installation, testing, and commissioning. The work is carried out in close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal project teams to develop and implement safe, reliable, and sustainable power solutions.
What we expect from you
As a person, you are meticulous, and you need to be able to translate ideas and concepts into practical and functional solutions through design, technical analysis, and collaboration with various stakeholders. We place great emphasis on your personal commitment and your willingness to drive your development forward. Since the work involves continuous improvements, you are motivated by this and find it interesting. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in electrical power and enjoys working both technically and project-oriented.
To succeed in the role, we prefer that you have:
- At least 2–3 years of experience in electrical power or energy systems
- An academic engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical education
- Experience in power calculations, planning, and technical documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with at least one power analysis tool
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
