About this vacancy
The activities will involve the full development of eDrive systems (electric motor, inverter, and e-auxiliaries), working in an international and highly innovative context in the automotive/electrification sector.
The search targets various profiles, including:
- Design Responsible Engineer
- Mechanical Design Engineer
- Electrical Engineer
- Virtual Design Engineer
- Validation Engineer
Depending on the role, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Contribute to the entire eDrive system life cycle: requirements definition, design, simulation, and validation.
- Develop and optimize electrical and mechanical components (motor, inverter, cooling systems, structures) ensuring performance and reliability.
- Perform multi-physics simulations (FEA, CFD, EMAG, NVH) and correlate models with experimental data.
- Define and manage validation activities (DVP&R, functional, environmental, and durability testing) and provide support for test benches and prototypes.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams (system, manufacturing, validation) to ensure project convergence and industrialization.
What we expect from you
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related fields
- At least 3+ years of experience in eDrive/electric powertrain
- Knowledge of eDrive systems: electric motors, inverters, power electronics
- Experience with validation processes, FMEA, and testing/validation
- Skills in mechanical and/or electrical design and system integration
- Experience with simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, Hypermesh, MotorCAD, CFD)
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python for modeling and analysis
- Familiarity with CAD/PLM tools (e.g., Creo, Teamcenter)
- Knowledge of embedded architectures and communication protocols such as CAN and LIN
- Understanding of high-voltage (HV) systems, automotive regulations, and industrialization processes
- Excellent proficiency in Italian and English
