As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you are the connecting factor between various departments (horizontally) and management layers (vertically), while maintaining a process improvement mindset.

About this vacancy
- You switch between improvement projects in various technological sectors, project duration, organizational challenges, project timelines, and scopes. - You determine the right approach to efficient working and production. You are capable of creating a plan to optimize the production environment. - Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. - You form the right project teams with members from various departments and ensure their engagement. - Creating awareness and motivation among staff on the production floor is also part of your daily tasks: you are the engineer in the Gemba. - You successfully execute improvement projects by understanding all requirements, occasionally playing a role in aftercare as well.
What we expect from you
Our clients are active in various industries, making it important for you to largely identify with the following points. You: - Hold a completed bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, or an equivalent field, with several years of experience in a production or assembly environment; - Are energized by tackling complex challenges on a project basis; - Have strong communication skills and excel in stakeholder management; - Know how to professionally adapt to different types of organizations and, as an employeneur, bring a fresh perspective to daily matters at our clients; - Have knowledge of or affinity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, preferably certified (theoretical and practical) as Green or Black Belt; - Are a generalist engineer: you have a proven track record of collaborating with various departments across the technological product lifecycle process; - Possess knowledge of modern production procedures; - Value finding fulfillment in your workday; - Are fluent in Dutch and English. Any additional language is a great plus.
