Are you at the beginning of your career and looking for more than just an entry-level position? Do you want to work on real projects with visible impact on the living environment while discovering your strengths in area development? Then this traineeship is a solid and enriching start.
Through TMC, we place you at a specialized consultancy firm in the field of area development. This firm works daily to make complex area challenges successful—from planning to realization. As a trainee, you will immediately be involved in projects where civil engineering, spatial economics, and spatial development come together. This way, you learn how plans are not only conceived but also made financially viable and technically executable.
You will follow a 12-month program in which you rapidly gain experience across various disciplines of area development. You’ll contribute to current projects for municipalities and market players and receive guidance from experienced advisors.
Phase 1 – Orientation (2 months) You will be introduced to civil engineering, spatial economics, and spatial development. You’ll support colleagues in different teams and gain insight into how design, costs, land exploitation, and planning procedures influence one another. This allows you to discover your interests and identify where your talents can shine best.
Phase 2 – Deepening (4 months) Together with your trainee partner, you will choose a specialist area to develop further, such as civil engineering designs and estimations, land exploitation and financial feasibility analyses, or integrated area challenges that merge technology and economics. You will work on concrete projects and draft a personal development plan by the end of this phase.
Phase 3 – Development (6 months) You will continue to grow in your chosen specialization, take on more responsibilities in projects, attend targeted training sessions, and receive personal coaching. You will conclude the traineeship with an evaluation, aimed at ensuring a sustainable transition to a role as an advisor or project employee with the client.

- Completed bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, planning economics, or a similar field
- Interest in area development and the interplay between technology, costs, and spatial quality
- Strong analytical skills and eager to learn
- Communicatively skilled and proactive
- You enjoy working collaboratively and are not afraid to take responsibility
