Are you a creative designer/specification writer with a passion for civil engineering and infrastructure? Do you want to translate plans and sketches into innovative and technically feasible designs? At our client, you'll have the opportunity to make an impact on challenging projects, from urban redevelopment to large tenders where quality and innovation make the difference. As a designer/specification writer, you will work with various contract forms such as RAW, UAV 2012, and Bouwteam, contributing to sustainable and future-proof solutions.

As a designer/specification writer, you play a crucial role in translating global plans and sketches into technically feasible designs. In consultation with the design leader, you work on diverse projects and ensure that designs are clear and achievable. You act as the point of contact for both internal and external design issues and monitor the progress of the process.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the design, drawings, contract documents, the bill of quantities, and the action plan. You work on designs according to the RAW system, UAV 2012, and Bouwteam projects, taking projects from conceptual design to final or implementation design.
The project variety is significant: you are involved in small to medium-sized assignments as well as large tenders. Clients primarily focus on reconstructions and the development of public spaces. Additionally, you coordinate projects in collaboration with assistant designers and work closely with various disciplines within the organization.
What we expect from you
- A completed higher professional education (HBO) in Civil Engineering, Land and Water Management, or Cultural Engineering
- Knowledge and experience in drafting and preparing contracts according to the RAW system
- Strong affinity for creating integrated designs and RAW specifications in public spaces
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Good communication skills and a true team player
- Excellent command of the Dutch language
- Experience in a similar role is preferred, but starters are also welcome
- Preferably, you also have demonstrable experience with BIM.
