About this vacancy
As a Civil Engineering Cost Estimator at TMC, you work on a wide range of projects within contracting firms, consultancy agencies, and (semi-)government institutions. You have a direct impact on the successful realization of civil engineering projects, varying from infrastructure works such as roads, bridges, and tunnels, to waterworks and urban development. These are your main tasks: - Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for civil engineering projects; - Evaluating quotations and calculating project proposals; - Analyzing project data and advising on cost optimization; - Contributing to the development of project plans and strategies in collaboration with project managers and engineers; - Monitoring market developments to calculate projects based on the most up-to-date data; - Reporting to and consulting with internal and external stakeholders on project progress.
What we expect from you
As a Civil Engineering Estimator, you play a crucial role within our team. You ensure that complex projects are translated into feasible and realistic cost estimates. You do this with attention to detail, precision, and a pragmatic approach. What we specifically expect from you: - Proficiency in the Dutch language at C1/C2 level, both spoken and written. - A completed HBO or WO degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field. - 0-3 years of relevant work experience as an estimator or in a comparable role within civil engineering. - Thorough knowledge of specifications, contract forms (UAV-GC, RAW), and estimation software. - Strong analytical skills and an excellent grasp of numbers. - Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders (contractors, consulting firms, government agencies). - Results-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines without compromising the quality of your work. - A proactive and flexible attitude with attention to detail.
