About this vacancy
As a GEN Draftsman, you play an essential role in projects related to underground infrastructure. You are responsible for generating, processing, and managing digital data and models needed for the design, construction, and management of cable and pipeline networks. You work with GIS and CAD data, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and ready for execution. In addition, you collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and operational teams. Thanks to your attention to detail and structured approach, projects can proceed smoothly and efficiently. Your main tasks include:
- Processing and managing GIS and CAD data for cable and pipeline projects within GEN
- Generating digital drawings and models based on project requirements
- Checking, validating, and processing supplied data for accuracy and completeness
- Collaborating with engineers, designers, and executors to optimize data exchange
- Preparing reports and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders
- Managing data in project and document management systems, including version control
- Working according to established quality guidelines and procedures
What we expect from you
- You have an MBO-4 qualification in Infra Engineering/Civil Engineering or a comparable field
- You have knowledge of underground infrastructure and relevant standards
- You have experience with GIS software and AutoCAD
- Experience with GEN is a plus, but training is provided
- You work accurately, analytically, and have an eye for detail
- You have strong communication skills (Dutch language) and can convey technical information clearly
- Affinity with data, automation, and technology
