AOCS Engineer
The Consultant will bring AOCS expertise for the conceptual and preliminary design (Phases A/B) of a multi-mission platform, defining a robust, scalable, and coherent architecture aligned with the operational profile.

About this vacancy
- Trade-off analysis and architectural sizing of the AOCS subsystem in different orbital regimes
- Definition of AOCS operational modes, including transitions and FDIR logics
- Preliminary implementation and verification of GNC algorithms for hybrid operations
- AOCS modeling and system-level performance analysis in nominal and off-nominal scenarios
- Contribution to mission analysis activities relevant to AOCS
- Support for system trade-offs (mass, power, pointing) in the context of PDR/SRR
What we expect from you
- Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, or equivalent
- ≥ 3 years of experience in AOCS-related roles, preferably in multi-orbit missions
- Advanced use of MATLAB/Simulink for orbital and attitude modeling
- AOCS architectures for multi-orbit platforms
- Perturbation modeling and analysis of pointing budgets (LEO/MEO/GEO/TO)
- Estimation theory and algorithms for attitude and navigation determination
- Control theory applied to attitude and orbit dynamics
- Knowledge of Phase A/B design processes and ESA/ECSS standards
- Knowledge of AOCS sensors and actuators (star tracker, IMU, reaction wheels, thruster)
- Automatic code generation (Embedded Coder, TargetLink)
- Programming in C, C++, or Python
- Requirement traceability tools (Jama, IBM DOORS, or equivalents)
- Mission analysis tools (GMAT, STK, or equivalents)
- Native Italian speaker, English level B2 or higher
