About this vacancy
This role focuses on evaluating and minimizing domestic and international airfreight usage, ensuring compliance with internal processes, and supporting cost-effective and sustainable transportation planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Act as process owner for the airfreight approval workflow, ensuring compliance and proper cost allocation
- Review and validate tactical airfreight requests, confirming necessity and coordinating with requestors
- Identify non-compliant airfreight usage, calculate cost and CO₂ impact, and report findings to leadership
- Analyze open purchase orders and partner with Planning teams to proactively reduce airfreight reliance
- Maintain transportation master data to ensure accurate freight cost estimates and transit times
- Conduct monthly cost allocation reviews with Finance
- Collaborate with Planning to develop airfreight forecasts and discuss capacity with carriers and freight forwarders
- Translate forecasts into transport handling units, weights, and dimensions
- Analyze forecast versus actual utilization and work with Planning to improve accuracy
- Partner with International Transport Operations and Procurement to identify hybrid or alternative transport solutions
- Develop KPIs to monitor airfreight usage and define triggers for corrective action
- Support development of internal tools to streamline the airfreight approval process
- Assist with ad-hoc project support as needed
What we expect from you
- 3–5 years of experience supporting air and ocean transportation
- Strong planning, analytical, and communication skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Bilingual capability is a strong plus
