Aerospace System Engineer (Laser Systems)

About this vacancy

• You will analyze and elicit system and subsystem requirements, verifying their completeness, consistency, and verifiability.
• You will manage requirements in IBM DOORS, ensuring traceability, derivation relationships, and allocation to subsystems.
• You will identify gaps and inconsistencies in the specification, proposing solutions together with the design teams.
• You will contribute to defining requirement attributes and acceptance criteria to support integration, verification, and validation.
• You will define the system architecture by modeling components, functions, information flows, and internal and external interfaces using SysML/UML diagrams.
• You will ensure continuous alignment between the architectural model and the requirement baseline.
• You will interface with project technical managers, both on-site and remotely, to share progress and results.

What we expect from you

• Degree in Space, Aerospace, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 1 year of experience in system engineering and requirements engineering for complex systems.
• Knowledge of IBM DOORS (or equivalent requirements management tools).
• Proficiency in SysML/UML and an MBSE approach for describing system architectures.
• Familiarity with the V&V lifecycle and the definition of acceptance criteria.
• Considered a plus: experience with electro-optical and optronic systems or in aerospace and defense sectors.
• Analytical skills, precision, and a propensity for working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Availability to work in a hybrid mode, with on-site presence in the Florence area.
• Italian C2, English C1.

What you can expect from us

The position entails a permanent contract, and the base gross annual salary (RAL) offered will not be less than €33,000, in line with the provisions of the CCNL Commercio – Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi.

TMC is committed to offering a competitive remuneration package and, at the end of the selection process, by evaluating the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, may propose a final RAL exceeding the level mentioned above.

In line with our business model, the final remuneration package also includes a direct project profit-sharing component, an individual budget for skills development amounting to €4,000 net annually, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection phase, in compliance with current company policies.
