Aerospace Design Engineer vacancy in Belgium

About this vacancy

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to support advanced aerospace programs involving primary aerostructure components. The ideal candidate has a strong background in structural design for aircraft, with expertise in composite materials and proficiency in CATIA V5.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the design of primary aerostructure components (metallic and composite).
• Develop high‑quality 3D models and detailed engineering definitions.
• Apply Functional Tolerancing and Annotation (FTA) methodologies within the 3D environment.
• Create and manage composite parts using the CATIA V5 CPD (Composite Part Design) module.
• Collaborate closely with stress engineers, manufacturing engineers, and configuration teams.
• Ensure designs comply with performance, manufacturing, and certification requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.

What we expect from you

• 10–15 years of experience in aerospace mechanical design.
• Proven expertise in the design of primary aerostructures (wings, fuselage sections, frames, spars, etc.).
• Strong command of CATIA V5, including: 3D modeling FTA (Functional Tolerancing & Annotation) CPD (Composite Part Design)
• Solid understanding of composite manufacturing constraints and aeronautical standards.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English or French.
