About this vacancy

As a Packaging and Process Engineer, you provide technological expertise to production departments for:

  • Transfer of new products and processes
  • Introduction of packaging and process technologies
  • Equipment qualification
  • Maintenance of product, process, or technology

You may also support other sites or Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) with your expertise. This role combines technological work with project-based, managerial, and coordinating activities in local and international teams. You will collaborate with multiple functional areas, including Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Supply Chain, Facility Management, Engineering, and PTOi.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire and maintain technological knowledge related to products, processes, equipment, and suppliers.
  • Set up, coordinate, execute, and report studies for:
    • Fact findings and investigations
    • Root cause analyses
    • Tech transfers
    • CAPEX projects
    • Validations, changes, and improvements
  • Lead or participate in project teams delivering:
    • Validation and engineering protocols/reports
    • Project plans and risk analyses
    • URS, VMP, qualification protocols and reports
  • Participate or lead peer groups around specific knowledge areas.
  • Work within systems such as:
    • Organon Quality Management System (QMS)
    • SHE systems
    • Change control and SAP
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, products, technologies, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and SHE regulations, creating conditions for colleagues to meet legal and company standards.

What we expect from you

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in an engineering field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Process, or Biotechnology Engineering).
  • Experience with qualification, validation, and testing in the pharmaceutical packaging industry (e.g., blistering, cartridges, and medical devices packaging).
  • Proven ability in performing technology transfers under GMP guidelines.
  • Strong skills in coordinating multiple multidisciplinary projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with GMP and SHE compliance requirements.
  • Dutch language proficiency is a significant advantage.
