Space Hardware System Engineer

As a Hardware Engineer for Space Systems and Subsystems, you will actively contribute to the design of EPS units and the definition of critical hardware architectures for space missions.

About this vacancy

In a context of strong growth and with an increasing number of complex space projects, we are looking for highly qualified professionals, passionate about technology and eager to contribute to the development of hardware systems intended for space and human flight.

What we expect from you

Master's Degree in Electronic, Aerospace, Mechatronic Engineering, or related fields.

Experience in hardware design for space systems or subsystems, preferably in the EPS domain.

Skills in the following activities:

Power electronics design, including power architecture definition, equipment sizing, load analysis, efficiency analysis, and technical trade-offs.
EEE parts and components selection, assessing suitability for space applications and human flight missions according to ECSS-Q standards.
Contribution to design trade-offs and technical justifications regarding mass, power, thermal, and reliability, ensuring traceability to system and subsystem requirements.
Thermal design, including concepts of Thermal Control, heater management philosophy, thermal balances, and interface with system thermal architecture.
Reviewing and technically validating hardware documentation, such as electrical schematics, block diagrams, mechanical layouts, thermal analysis, and parts lists.

Ability to ensure supplier and partner compliance with:

ECSS technical requirements,
Scope of Work (SoW),
Interface Control Documents (ICDs),
Verification and Validation (V&V) plans.

Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary teams.
Good knowledge of English; native or equivalent proficiency in Italian.
