Do you have extensive experience as a Security Officer and want to take the lead on policy, implementation, and oversight? Or have you primarily worked in an operational capacity thus far and are now ready to grow into a strategic role? In this key position, you will be responsible for the entire security domain within an innovative high-tech organization. You will ensure both physical and digital security are guaranteed, and that the continuity of our processes remains safeguarded. This is not a purely strategic role: you will be the one developing policies, implementing them, and overseeing their execution. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.

Your impact:

• Developing and implementing a robust security plan, including compliance with customer and legal requirements.
• Leading audits and inspections conducted by external entities and managing subcontractors for specific assignments.
• Investigating incidents and taking immediate actions to mitigate risks.
• Advising and collaborating with the procurement team on export control and compliance matters.
• Managing the company's emergency response plan and business continuity plan, including coordinating their execution.
• Actively ensuring knowledge retention within the organization through training and education.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters and reporting to the management team.

What we expect from you

• Bachelor's/Master's level of thinking and working, with proven experience in both policy-making and operational tasks.
• At least 10 years of experience in security, preferably in a high-tech environment.
• Knowledge of physical and digital security, including ISMS (Information Security Management System).
• Strong leadership qualities: decisive, coaching, and capable of managing teams and external parties.
• Hands-on mentality: you identify what is needed and ensure it gets done.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
