As a Lead Composite Engineer, you will guide a team of skilled engineers and lead the development of next‑generation composite products and scalable production processes within a rapidly growing high‑tech manufacturing environment.

About this vacancy
In this leadership position, you take end‑to‑end ownership of complex engineering projects, from concept development to industrialized production. You provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to translate customer requirements into manufacturable, high‑performance composite solutions.
Your key responsibilities:
- Lead the development of advanced composite products and production processes
- Translate customer requirements into optimized, manufacturable designs
- Oversee prototype development and validate new production methods
- Prepare and approve production documentation and work instructions
- Manage engineering project planning, cost estimations, and reporting
- Ensure accurate product data and lifecycle management within the ERP system
- Coach, support, and develop a team of composite engineers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to materials, processes, and efficiency
What we expect from you
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in with strong knowledge in composite engineering and material science in a production environment.
- You have leadership experience, project-based or team-based.
- You are a EU resident
- Dutch language skills is a nice to have
