Jr. Project Lead Civil Engineering

About this vacancy

As a Junior Project Manager in Civil Engineering, you work on various civil engineering projects, ranging from road construction and hydraulic engineering to the development of bridges and tunnels. You support senior project managers and gradually take on more responsibility for coordinating project phases. You ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, collaborating with different disciplines such as design, execution, and the client.

In this role, you learn everything about managing civil engineering projects and receive guidance from experienced colleagues. You develop yourself into a full-fledged project manager who can independently lead projects and efficiently manage all involved parties.

Your responsibilities:

• Supporting the project manager in planning, coordinating, and executing civil engineering projects;
• Monitoring the progress of projects, including tracking budgets, schedules, and work quality;
• Preparing and managing project documentation, such as reports, meeting materials, and technical specifications;
• Maintaining contact with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders;
• Assisting in resolving technical and organizational challenges during project execution;
• Contributing to compliance with safety regulations and quality standards within projects;
• Learning and contributing to project management tools and techniques to further develop your skills.

What we expect from you

• A completed bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a similar technical education);
• Some experience with civil engineering projects, preferably through internships or previous work experience;
• Knowledge of civil engineering and experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar programs;
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, both verbal and written;
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop yourself within the field.
