Field Test Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Field Test Engineer.
What we expect from you
Your key responsibilities will include: • The setup and execution of field tests in collaboration with DAF internal clients. • Identify, analyze, and report any issues encountered during testing, utilizing data logger information for thorough problem analysis. • Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes and results, ensuring accurate evaluation of outcomes. • Conduct vehicle inspections and facilitate vehicle rebuild and update activities as required. • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, drivers, and dealers involved in the field tests, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the process. • Provide periodic 24/7 technical support by managing a support hotline, assisting customers with any inquiries or issues. • Contribute to the development of corporate test standards for Long Run endurance tests and customer field tests, as well as create new test procedures to enhance our testing capabilities. • Actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving testing efficiency and quality, collaborating within project teams to implement best practices. Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Electronics). • A minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle testing. • Proficient in measurement techniques and familiar with various testing equipment and tools. • Strong background in test data analysis and statistics. • Excellent communication skills, coupled with a structured approach to work and a passion for collaborating within teams. • Proficient in both English and Dutch, with the ability to convey technical information clearly. • A valid truck driving license (CE license) is required for this position.
