About this vacancy

As a Draftsman Civil Engineering, you work on shaping underground infrastructure projects across the Netherlands. You translate technical challenges into clear, actionable designs and serve as an essential link between engineering, execution, and project teams. You work meticulously, contribute to smart solutions, and maintain an overview in a dynamic environment. What will you do? In this role, you are responsible for developing civil engineering designs for various project phases, from conceptual design to execution design. You combine your technical insight with precise drafting and ensure that designs are complete, accurate, and practically executable. You will be involved in aspects such as:

Developing 2D and 3D designs in AutoCAD and Civil3D;
Providing advice on permits, technical choices, and execution possibilities;
Visiting project sites for inspections, consultations, and coordination;
Drafting schedules and monitoring progress and quality;
Supporting cost estimations and technical justifications in collaboration with the estimating team;
Coordinating activities within the engineering team;
Checking whether all documents and drawings comply with relevant standards and guidelines.

You work in a close-knit team of engineers and draftsmen and are a visible point of contact within daily operations.

What we expect from you

You communicate clearly, work accurately, and maintain an overview even during busy periods. You actively contribute ideas, take initiative, and know how to involve colleagues in your ideas and approach.

Additionally, you possess:

A completed MBO+ or HBO education in Civil Engineering;
At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a draftsman or designer;
Experience with AutoCAD and good knowledge of Civil3D;
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;
Knowledge of ASVV and CROW guidelines;
Experience with sewer, infiltration, or storage calculations is a plus;
Knowledge of RAW methodology and specification writing software;
A proactive, quality-focused work attitude.
