About this vacancy

As a Design Lead Energy, you play a central role in the design of multidisciplinary energy projects within design and construct contracts. Together with draftsmen, designers, and engineers, you work on safe, feasible, and high-quality designs for, among other things: - Cable and pipeline routes for medium and high voltage; - Hydrogen, heat, and gas infrastructure; - Heating networks and underground energy systems. You manage the design process from start to finish and collaborate closely with internal specialists, client organizations, and execution teams. You will engage with a variety of clients and project scales, ranging from regional connections to large-scale national grid reinforcements. ### What will you do? - Act as the main point of contact for the client during both the design and execution phases. - Lead and coach designers and engineers within your project team. - Develop and monitor the design strategy, adhering to methodologies such as GOTIK. - Ensure that designs are technically accurate, feasible, and compliant with requirements and safety guidelines. - Coordinate interfaces, requirements management, risks, planning, and costs. - Identify and minimize safety risks through smart design choices. - Spot opportunities to improve or automate processes (e.g., parametric design). You will work project-dependent from Rosmalen, other Dutch offices, project locations, or partially from home.

What we expect from you

At least a bachelor's degree in fields like civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in design, engineering, or energy infrastructure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage technical specialists.
Interest in BIM, digital construction, parametric design, or sustainability.
You feel responsible for quality and are capable of safeguarding interests within complex projects.
Proficient in the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
