About this vacancy

The ideal candidate is a Software Engineer with a strong data focus, experience building ETL pipelines, Python applications, and managing unstructured data on modern data lakes.

Your challenges?

Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines.
Collaborate with Data Scientists to deploy models and algorithms.
Develop microservices and APIs for exposing and integrating data and functionality.
Work with unstructured data (text, logs, JSON, documents) and contribute to its transformation and indexing.
Support the evolution of the data architecture and the adoption of development best practices.
Participate in continuous process improvement (CI/CD, automated testing, code review).

What we expect from you

MS degree in Computer Engineering or related field
2-4 years of experience in SW Engineering or ETL/Data Engineering
Strong knowledge of Python and key data manipulation packages
Experience developing APIs and microservices with FastAPI or alternatively Flask)
Familiarity with unstructured data and data lake environments (Parquet, Delta, S3, Azure Data Lake, ...)
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
Knowledge of Docker and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
Experience with data quality and data validation
Basic knowledge of machine learning or statistical data analysis principles
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD processes, and good development practices (testing, logging, documentation)
Good command of Italian and English language
Availability to travel and relocate for medium to long periods
