The Mission
As a Cleanliness Expert, you will ensure that our systems meet the most extreme cleanliness standards in the industry down to grade 1 levels. You understand how factors like cutting oils, cooling fluids, and microscopic production residues influence system performance. You know how to prevent contamination at every step of the supply chain, and you translate that expertise into clear specifications, validation methods, and robust processes. Your work directly safeguards the functionality, lifetime, and stability of high‑tech systems used worldwide.
Your Role
In this role, you will define, validate, and enforce contamination‑control requirements across complex modules and systems. You will:
- Specify cleanliness requirements to ensure functional and ultra‑clean system performance.
- Participate in design reviews to embed contamination‑control measures from the start.
- Lead functional qualification activities, with emphasis on surface analysis and photochemistry.
- Own root‑cause analyses for contamination‑related issues and propose effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain contamination‑control design rules for next‑generation systems.
- Generate new ideas that advance the organization’s cleanliness capabilities.
- Document specifications, calculations, and test data with precision and clarity.
- Provide methods, tools, and verification techniques to validate cleanliness requirements.
- Detect, mimic, and control contamination designing tools when needed.
What we expect from you
Experience & Expertise
- Proven experience designing and producing ultra‑clean, high‑tech systems (e.g., grade 1).
- Knowledge of ultra‑high vacuum systems down to mbar range.
- Experience developing and deploying contamination‑control strategies across supply chains.
- Strong understanding of molecular cleanliness and contamination physics.
- Hands‑on experience with validation techniques such as SEM‑EDX, RGA, XPS, and particle‑detection methods.
- Broad experience in high‑tech equipment, scientific instrumentation, semiconductor, or space applications.
Education
- Master’s degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or similar preferably with specialization in cleanliness.
- Certifications in FMEA, DOE, Six Sigma are considered a strong plus.
Technical Strengths
- Strong foundation in materials science, analytical chemistry, surface chemistry, and contamination control.
- Experimental and/or theoretical experience in surface analysis and material characterization.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, exploratory environment.

- Clear communicator who builds trust across multidisciplinary teams.
- Natural driver of improvement and organizational change.
- Skilled at balancing stakeholder interests while maintaining technical clarity.
