Site Logistics Supervisor

About this vacancy

The ideal candidate will work on-site to ensure the timely and safe delivery, storage, and flow of construction equipment and materials. You will be the go-to person for organizing dock usage, warehouse storage, material relocation, and supporting logistics-related safety processes. This role requires excellent planning skills, team coordination abilities, and experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the site logistics plan in collaboration with construction, supply chain, planning, and project management teams
Assign dock doors for inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring daily material flow supports the construction schedule
Manage and monitor warehouse operations and on-site/off-site storage areas for tools, materials, and equipment
Coordinate employee and subcontractor parking plans, laydown areas, and traffic flow for safety and efficiency
Oversee inbound/outbound shipments and track key components for just-in-time availability
Set up and maintain software and hardware solutions for logistics tracking and inventory control
Lead and enforce logistics-related safety procedures, including toolbox talks, safety walks, and inductions
Monitor supplier and subcontractor logistics performance and document all variances in delivery, quality, and documentation
Onboard and train new team members (internal and subcontractor) on site-specific logistics procedures
Create and manage staffing schedules to align with construction peaks and project needs

What we expect from you

5+ years of experience in site logistics, construction logistics, or project-based supply chain operations
Strong understanding of warehouse and transport operations within a construction or industrial project setting
Experience managing dock schedules, laydown areas, material flows, and on-site logistics planning
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other eventual logistics software/tools
Strong communication skills and proven ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams
High level of planning, process discipline, and ability to proactively identify and resolve logistics issues
Comfortable working full-time on construction sites with 80–90% travel or extended site presence
Awareness of jobsite safety standards preferred
Fluent in English; multicultural experience is a plus
