About this vacancy
In this role, you have the opportunity to contribute to the development and integration of computer hardware platforms within a high-tech industrial environment. As a Computer System Platform Designer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for specifying, qualifying, and releasing hardware components that support complex machine systems.
You will work with standardized, off-the-shelf equipment such as servers, displays, routers, embedded boards, and network components. Your focus will be on ensuring that these systems meet architectural requirements and can be seamlessly integrated into broader machine platforms. You will collaborate closely with system architects, suppliers, and internal departments such as logistics, purchasing, and service engineering.
This position offers a dynamic mix of technical design, stakeholder coordination, and process-driven execution. You will contribute to product documentation, testing, and change management, while helping to improve and evolve hardware platforms across multiple product lines.
You are responsible for
- Contributing to the specification and integration of computer system hardware modules.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to align technical and operational requirements.
- Creating and maintaining documentation such as requirements, test plans, and qualification reports.
- Supporting the release and lifecycle management of hardware components.
- Participating in risk analysis and mitigation activities.
- Working within structured processes and tools for configuration and change management.
What we expect from you
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in hardware integration or electrical design within an industrial or machine development context.
- Familiarity with hardware such as servers, SSDs, NAS devices, displays, routers, switches, and embedded platforms.
- Experience with Agile ways of working, including planning increments and sprint execution.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across disciplines.
- A proactive and self-starting attitude.
