Over deze vacature
As a Thermal Mechanical Analyst, you will work within a multidisciplinary research group focused on the conceptual design of advanced opto-mechatronic systems. These systems are developed for applications in the semiconductor industry, space and scientific instrumentation, and high-tech manufacturing. Together with experts in mechanical and optical design, control engineering, and systems engineering, you perform thermal and mechanical analyses and optimization studies to support the design of innovative prototypes. Your work contributes directly to breakthrough technologies that strengthen the global position of the Dutch high-tech industry.
You play a key role in developing robust and adaptive optomechatronic modules and control systems. By combining analytical insight with practical engineering skills, you help steer designs toward optimal integral solution - taking into account all relevant physical domains and the freedom of 3D design.
Wat we van jou verwachten
- MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with specialization in Finite Elements or Computational Modeling
- Experience with (multi-domain) topology optimization is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of FE software (e.g. Ansys, COMSOL)
- Experience with simulation tools and/or programming (Matlab, Python)
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written (Dutch is a plus)
- Affinity with technical documentation and reporting
