Electrical Design Engineer

Voor een toonaangevende hightech organisatie binnen de industriële en defensiegerelateerde sector zoeken wij een Electrical Design Engineer. Je werkt binnen de afdeling Systems & Engineering, waar innovatieve, volledig klantspecifieke Drive & Control-oplossingen worden ontwikkeld. Deze systemen maken gebruik van zowel elektrische als hydraulische aandrijftechniek.

Wat we van jou verwachten

Your role In this position, you are responsible for the electrical design within one or more projects. Think of complex motion systems for flight and driving simulators, wave generation installations, and maritime supply and compensation systems.

Your activities will include:

• Designing control and switch cabinets and providing input to E-plan engineers.
• Supervising cabinet construction during production.
• Making technical decisions together with Lead Design Engineers that meet client specifications.
• Maintaining contact with internal and external customers from the quotation phase to final delivery.
• Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to achieve integrated technical solutions.
• Being involved in the complete project lifecycle: from concept and specification to engineering, validation, documentation, and commissioning.
• Thinking about new technologies such as energy management and contributing to safe, sustainable solutions.

You bring the following:

• A completed higher vocational (HBO) or university (WO) education in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or similar.
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience (including relevant internship experience) in a similar role.
• Knowledge of frequency converters, soft starters, and PLC technology.
• Experience in designing switch and control cabinets.
• Strong communication skills and a well-founded opinion.
• Helicopter view, initiative, and a proactive attitude.
• Willingness to occasionally travel internationally.
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages. (If you don't speak Dutch, unfortunately your application cannot be considered.
