New business cell: Cloud Data Platform & IoT
We are excited to announce the launch of a new team of technical experts specializing in Cloud Data Platforms and the Internet of Things (IoT) in the Netherlands. Under the leadership of our newly appointed director, Jelle Melis, our team of Azure cloud and IoT architects and data engineers is dedicated to helping clients make the most efficient and intelligent use of their technical devices and the data they generate. This initiative is particularly focused on meeting the growing demand within the manufacturing industry.
Tempo di lettura: min.Connecting IT and OT
Our new "Cloud Data Platform & IoT" business cell brings together the expertise within Mobilee and TMC. While Mobilee focuses on data-driven consulting, we specialize in helping businesses unlock high-tech software and hardware. This new team combines these competencies by integrating and managing Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT). As Jelle Melis explains, “Where Mobilee’s experts have been advising government organizations on data optimization and efficiency for years, we can now bring these solutions to life with our team of architects and data engineers. Our service offering is now even more comprehensive. We can fully support companies while advancing their transition to data-driven operations."
Partnering with Microsoft
To ensure a strong start, we have officially become a Microsoft Partner. This partnership with Microsoft enables us to deliver innovative IoT and data solutions in the cloud that enhance operational efficiency and extract more value from data. It also positions us as a Cloud Service Provider, allowing us to expand our service offerings to clients. "We are thrilled to be recognized as a certified Cloud Service Provider for Microsoft Azure," says Melis. "This underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality cloud solutions and services. With the powerful capabilities of Microsoft Azure and our expertise, we are well-positioned to help companies accelerate their digital transformation.”
With this partnership, we can optimize the monitoring of devices on the shop floor—such as smart meters and factory equipment—and provide automated, cloud-based software updates. Through advanced data collection and analysis, we offer clients practical solutions that make the most efficient use of both internal and device-generated data. This includes developing digital twins for faster data visualization and implementing predictive maintenance strategies to perform more effective upkeep.
Retaining knowledge
There is a growing demand for our expertise, and the timing of this new cell’s establishment is ideal. “For example, in the metal industry, where there is a significant aging workforce, data-driven solutions are increasingly needed. With the departure of experienced employees, a vast amount of knowledge is lost. Internal data collected from equipment is essential for preserving knowledge within such organizations,” explains Melis.
Currently, our Data & IoT team consists of six employeneurs. We aim to grow to 10 technical experts by the end of 2024.
