Structural Bridge Engineer II–Transportation Infrastructure

• Design bridges and other structures for road/highway infrastructure projects.
• Conduct structural analysis and design of bridge projects to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Complete bridge design tasks, including producing structural calculations and contributing to bridge plan development.
• Independently create or supervise the production of structural engineering deliverables that meet client quality standards, including calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design packages, technical reports, and analyses.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters and fellow engineers working on the same project.
• May supervise one or more subordinates and provide feedback on their performance.
• Participate in project teams or serve as a lead engineer on small to mid-sized projects.
• Assist in developing project quantities and cost estimates.
• Perform additional duties as required for the role.

Wat we van jou verwachten

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in bridge design engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD and relevant software (MicroStation preferred).

Preferred Skills:

• Master’s degree in civil engineering with a structural focus is highly desirable.
• GDOT experience is highly desirable, but not required.
