As a Senior System Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of complex systems for semiconductor applications. From customer interaction and translating needs into technical concepts to overseeing project execution through the V-model, you ensure seamless development and integration. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams of highly skilled engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while delivering high-precision systems.

You’ll be part of the Physics & Analysis competence group, translating advanced physics into actionable roadmaps and concepts. Your projects will involve diverse technologies, including high-dynamic systems, substrate handling, and cryogenic environments, requiring strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and a passion for precision engineering.

Wat we van jou verwachten

We’re looking for an experienced technical leader with:

• Educational Background: A Master’s or PhD in Technical Physics (preferred) or Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a strong physics focus.
• Industry Expertise: At least 10 years in high-tech development, with proven experience in designing complex systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in applied physics disciplines such as thermodynamics, magnetics, vacuum design, and FEM dynamics.
• Leadership Abilities: Strong coaching and team leadership skills, fostering growth and excellence among engineers and architects.
• Strategic Vision: Capability to create architectures and roadmaps while aligning with organizational and customer needs.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Pragmatic, analytical thinking with a proactive approach to managing risks and conflicting stakeholder requirements.
• Drive and Ownership: A high-energy personality with exceptional planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Collaboration: Effective communication with Physics engineers and other disciplines, balancing technical depth with clarity.
