System Integration Engineer

We are looking for an experienced System Integration Engineer to be part of a multi-functional design environment with individual responsibility in the following areas:

• Perform and lead the system integration activities for system design in support of proposals and projects including requirements specification, architecture description, interface description, system integration and development plans, design reviews, verification and validation, and testing and commissioning.
• Perform system integration between CBTC, wayside equipment, vehicle equipment and other rail signaling subsystems.
• Analyze technical requirements and specifications for CBTC system integration.
• Develop and implement integration plans for CBTC systems with existing trackside and onboard equipment, communication networks, and control systems.
• Conduct interface design and testing to ensure compatibility and interoperability between different systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders from various disciplines to address integration challenges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Provide technical guidance on the testing and commissioning of the CBTC system.
• Perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment.
• Support and recommend modifications to the baseline CBTC hardware and software for new projects.
• Prepare customer technical correspondence and create technical documents as required by the contract.
• Make technical presentations for requirements compliance and management of technical issues.
• Serve as a technical expert for CBTC and other railway signal systems including hardware, software and the I2S.
• Resolve technical issues related to the production of equipment.
• Further the goals and positive, professional image of TSD by conducting business with other departments and outside contacts in a timely and cooperative manner.  

Wat we van jou verwachten

•  Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field with a minimum 7 years of experience in Communication Based Train Control, or equivalent education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of wayside signaling equipment and radio communication networks.
• Advanced knowledge of vital system and vital software development methodologies.
• Advanced knowledge of requirement development and requirements tracing to customer specifications.
• Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers and employees.
• Advanced knowledge of the development lifecycle and lifecycle products.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and scheduling software.
