About this vacancy

As a Water Safety Advisor at TMC, you play a crucial role in protecting the Netherlands from flooding. You work on projects for water boards, provinces, and Rijkswaterstaat, where you analyze risks, assess water barriers, and advise on measures to make our dikes, dams, and embankments future-proof. Your work involves performing and interpreting strength and failure mechanism analyses, evaluating design and assessment standards, and contributing ideas for innovative solutions in the areas of climate adaptation and dike reinforcement. You collaborate with specialists in geotechnics, hydrology, and civil engineering, translating your insights into clear recommendations for clients. At TMC, you work alongside experienced professionals and have the opportunity to deepen your expertise while making a societal impact.

What we expect from you

  • A completed bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field.
  • 0 to 5 years of work experience in water safety, dike design, or flood defenses.
  • You have an affinity for hydraulics, strength calculations, and assessment tools (such as WBI or Hydra-NL).
  • You work meticulously, have strong analytical skills, and can simplify complex matters.
  • You enjoy collaboration and are eager to contribute to projects with societal relevance.

  • A gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €6,000, depending on experience and education.
