About this vacancy

As a tactical buyer, within our high-tech project department, you are responsible for the procurement and coordination of predominantly bill-of-materials-oriented catalog items. In addition to implementing structural improvements and supervising initial production, you serve as the point of contact between the supplier and our organization.

You share responsibility for your portfolio in terms of quality and logistics and seek the optimal quality-price ratio.

You assist in developing processes for complex prototypes, as well as for volume-worthy and controlled small-scale production. Due to the introduction of many new products, your creativity, (technical) insight, focus, stress resistance, and communication skills will be called upon.

As a tactical buyer, you are part of an energetic and driven procurement team within the Projects department. This department primarily focuses on scaling assembly projects to volume, often in an international environment. All projects start from a proto/pilot phase and are scaled to volume through a fixed structure. Within the procurement group, you participate in multiple multidisciplinary project teams. As a tactical buyer, you are responsible for:

Responsible for the procurement of customer-specific components within bill-of-materials-oriented projects.
Setting up supply chains per project, including reallocations when needed.
Maintaining supplier relationships and making contractual agreements.
Requesting, evaluating, and negotiating quotations for pricing and cost reduction.
Managing order data in the ERP system.
Monitoring progress and providing input to project discussions.
Drafting and executing procurement plans.
Contributing to structural improvements in the procurement process and overseeing initial production.

What we expect from you

Completed higher professional education (HBO)
NEVI 1 certificate is a plus
Several years of experience as a buyer in a project-based environment.
Strong commercial insight and negotiation skills.
Affinity with technology and working in multidisciplinary teams.
Analytical skills and a methodical approach to work.
Proficient in Dutch and English (German is a plus).
