About this vacancy

As a **Software Test Engineer**, you ensure that vehicle software operates safely, stably, and reliably. You will be part of a close-knit testing team focused on verifying and validating embedded software developed by the client’s internal engineering team. You will test the software not only in a simulation environment but also on **real vehicles** at the test site. You identify bugs, discuss them with developers, and retest until the software fully meets the specified requirements. You are the final quality check before the vehicles hit the road. **What will you do?** - Verify and analyze functional and technical requirements. - Develop test cases and test plans based on specifications. - Conduct tests on physical vehicles and test environments. - Observe, record, and analyze test results. - Report findings and communicate with software developers. - Perform retesting after software adjustments. - Contribute to the improvement of testing methods and the expansion of test coverage. Your work directly impacts the **safety, reliability, and performance** of vehicles in real-world situations.

What we expect from you

Who are you?

You work accurately, structured, and have an eye for detail.
You are curious and want to understand how systems truly work.
You enjoy hands-on work with vehicles.
You think beyond standard tests and explore the limits of functionality.
You hold a bachelor's degree (hbo level) in a technical field, preferably with experience in automotive or embedded software.
You communicate clearly in both Dutch and English.
