About this vacancy

Rephrase complex statistical physics challenges into straightforward simulations.
Develop and enhance particle tracking simulations for both continuum flow and rarefied gas environments.
Work closely with academic partners on cutting-edge statistical algorithms, such as DSMC solvers.
Collaborate directly with engineers to validate and refine models for problem-solving.
Actively suggest engineering solutions derived from simulation outcomes.
Convert simulation insights into design recommendations.
Document the study, design, and results in detailed reports.

What we expect from you

You possess deep expertise in statistical physics with extensive experience in Molecular Dynamics, Lattice Boltzmann, or Monte Carlo methods.
Holding a Master’s or PhD in physics or a related field, you bring at least 3 years of simulation experience within the high-tech industry.
Your simulations provide a strong factual and technical foundation to support multiple teams.
Familiarity with flow simulations in rarefied conditions is an added advantage.
A self-driven specialist with a knack for asking the right follow-up questions.
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
A collaborative team player who is analytical, pragmatic, creative, and proactive. Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, with a preference for Dutch proficiency.
Ambition for a broad personal development in the technology field.
