About this vacancy

Utilize Advanced Optical Design Software: Employ tools such as Zemax, Code V, or OpticStudio to design and optimize sophisticated optical systems that meet specific performance criteria.
Select High-Performance Optical Components: Choose lasers, detectors, fibers, and other photonic devices based on performance requirements, considering parameters like wavelength, power, and efficiency.
Design and Validate Experiments: Develop and execute experiments to confirm optical system performance using advanced techniques such as interferometry, spectrophotometry, and precise optical alignment.
Perform Complex Simulations and Modeling: Use software tools like MATLAB, COMSOL, or Lumerical to conduct optical simulations and modeling, predicting and optimizing the performance of optical systems.
Characterize Optical Systems: Utilize advanced measurement techniques such as Fourier transform spectroscopy, optical coherence tomography, and wavefront analysis to characterize optical components and systems.
Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate optical systems with electronics, mechanics, and software, ensuring comprehensive system development.
Drive Innovation: Propose and implement novel optical solutions to overcome technical challenges and enhance product performance.
Prepare Technical Documentation: Create detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.

What we expect from you

Educational Background: Master’s or Ph.D. in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in optical system design, analysis, and experimentation, ideally in an R&D setting.
Proficiency in Design Software: Expertise in optical design software such as Zemax, Code V, or OpticStudio.
In-Depth Optical Knowledge: Strong understanding of optical principles, including geometric optics, wave optics, and Fourier optics.
Characterization Techniques: Experience with a variety of optical characterization techniques and equipment.
Innovation and Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and solve complex technical problems.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
