Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Aerospace

About this vacancy

As a Software Embedded Engineer, you will work on complex embedded systems for space applications, contributing to the design, development, and integration of mission-critical software in C++. In particular, you will be responsible for: - Analyzing system requirements and deriving software requirements; - Designing software architecture and defining interfaces between subsystems; - Developing embedded software in C++, focusing on performance, reliability, and security; - Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for software integration and testing; - Managing software configuration (versioning) and technical documentation.

What we expect from you

Master’s degree in computer, electronic, aerospace engineering or related fields;
4-5 years of experience in embedded software development in C++;
Familiarity with real-time environments and embedded operating systems (e.g., VxWorks, QNX, Linux RT);
Experience in software testing (unit, integration) and debugging activities;
Fluent knowledge of Italian and English.

Nice to have

Previous experience in aerospace or defense fields;
Knowledge of Python for scripting and automation;
Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, SPI, UART);
Experience with modeling tools (UML, SysML);
Knowledge of quality and safety standards (e.g., ECSS, DO-178C).
