Senior Dry Etching Process Engineer

About this vacancy

• Take ownership of nearly all dry etching equipment in the cleanroom, ensuring processes are maintained at a high and stable standard.
• Responsible for applying and developing new dry etching processes, primarily in project settings.
• Participate in projects to achieve agreed-upon deliverables, contributing to or making relevant technological decisions related to dry etching at various stages.
• Utilize appropriate engineering methods and tools.
• Provide consulting support to customers regarding etching process choices and identify areas for improvement within your technological expertise.
• Evaluate the potential for reusing existing knowledge and assess the need for new developments within the cluster.
• Continuously enhance your technological knowledge through regular interactions within and outside the department, including engagement with suppliers and research institutions.
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams for acquiring new equipment, contributing to the design of process requirements, specifications, and acceptance protocols.
• Coach engineers and technicians while proactively communicating with all stakeholders, including clients, senior management, your professional network, and colleagues.

What we expect from you

• A Master or Bachelor degree in the area of the exact sciences.
• Experience in process engineering & development.
• Experience in working with or leading project teams in technological area. In-depth knowledge of dry etching technology used for thin film processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, both technical as interpersonal.
• Capable of combining physical and chemical knowledge in order to understand the complex plasma etch processes and their interaction with thin films.
• Knowledge of fundamental tools (DOE, SPC, FMEA,
• Problem Solving, Teamwork, etc.), required in an engineering environment.
• Has a pragmatic, creative, flexible attitude with a result driven can-do mentality.
• Excellent communication skills, professional level of written and verbal communication in English.
