About this vacancy
The department specializes in developing ultra-precise position measurement systems for wafer and reticle stages. Achieving extreme measurement precision demands a thorough understanding of various physics phenomena.
In this role, you will be the "physics conscience" of the department, identifying and addressing critical physical aspects that influence design and production. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, sharing insights and proposing innovative solutions to meet design, manufacturing, and operational requirements. Your work will range from theoretical evaluation to practical implementation, including engaging with suppliers to ensure solutions are seamlessly integrated into the production process.
Additionally, you will document and share your expertise to enhance the department's collective knowledge base. Regularly presenting findings and fostering awareness of critical aspects will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that the team remains at the forefront of precision measurement technology.
What we expect from you
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Educational background: PhD in (applied) physics, ideally specializing in magnetism or material science.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant industry experience in high-precision systems or related fields.
- Technical expertise in:
- Magnetism and Material Science
- Optics and Optical Fibers
- Semiconductor Lasers, Diodes, and PSDs
- UHV (Ultra High Vacuum) systems and cleanliness standards
- Electronics and 6-Sigma methodologies
- Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Communication: Exceptional documentation and presentation skills to share insights across the organization and with external stakeholders.
