About this vacancy

As a Mechanical Engineer - Contracts and Equipment Purchasing, you will oversee all aspects of equipment procurement and support the technical and commercial processes for mechanical systems. You will also manage the qualification and design of equipment and provide expertise during the manufacturing and operational phases of the projects.

Purchase/ procure mechanical equipment such as valves, pumps, actuators, and handling systems, including spare parts.
Prepare technical requisitions, tender documents, and commercial proposals for procurement.
Analyze supplier bids and assist in commercial negotiations to finalize contracts.
Manage equipment sizing studies and qualification through tests or studies.
Supervise the design, manufacturing, and quality assurance processes in collaboration with clients and the quality surveillance team.

What we expect from you

A degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering
2+ years of experience in similar role or engineering sector.
Fluent in English AND Dutch.
Strong interest in mechanical design, manufacturing, and operational activities.
Capable of drafting detailed reports, specifications, and technical calculations.
Experience with 3D CAD software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
