What we expect from you

| YOUR CHALLENGE?

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer, specialized in the use of CATIA, to join our team dedicated to the development of armored vehicles.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components for our armored vehicles, ensuring their compliance with quality and safety standards.

In this role, you will be required to:

• Lead the design process from preliminary concepts to detailed studies, in collaboration with the architect, with support and validation from experts (sizing, component selection), while adhering to the standards of your profession;
• Plan all development activities (CAD design, calculations, supplier development, validation, etc.);
• Design and develop mechanical components for military vehicles within the armored hull scope using CATIA;
• Create detailed 3D models and precise technical drawings;
• Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and other departments to ensure design integrity;
• Participate in design reviews and make modifications based on feedback;
• Perform tolerance analyses and simulations to ensure component reliability and durability;
• Adhere to industry standards and safety regulations specific to armored vehicles;
• Ensure the quality and compliance of delivered outputs:
• Drive the product/process development activities of the functions/components under your responsibility according to professional standards to achieve the requested quality, cost, timeline, and performance objectives;
• Ensure the documentation updates for the relevant scope;

What you can expect from us

| WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the Defense or Automotive sector;
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 or V6;
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and materials;
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively;
• Attention to detail and competence in solving complex technical problems;
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to armored vehicles is a plus;
• Expertise in 3D modeling and creating technical drawings using CATIA;
• Experience in project management and coordination with multidisciplinary teams;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Fluency in English is an asset.
