About this vacancy
We are looking for a candidate who can independently develop and manage Turning and Milling processes.
This role involves assessing specifications, performing turning and milling operations and evaluating the outcomes.
You must also ensure compliance with various industrial and governmental regulations as this is for an Aviation project.
As the technical lead for this production segment, you will be fully responsible for the process and will have the opportunity to train and mentor shop floor employees as needed.
You will stay up-to-date on the latest industry developments and maintain a network of suppliers and peers for consultation.
Collaboration (and good communication) with Process Engineers and Lead Engineers is essential. Together, you will conduct risk assessments related to the final product.
The Process Engineer's role is to ensure a flawless process in collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and Operators, based on customer specifications. Decisions will be made with a focus on risk management, utilizing tools like FMEA and statistical process control. Additionally, the Process Engineer will handle technical communication with customers within their area of expertise.
What we expect from you
You will bring:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science (HBO level).
Experience in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, automotive, or medical.
Experience with turning and/or milling processes is a must-have.
