About this vacancy

| YOUR CHALLENGE?

We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Preparing and delivering technical reports and method statements to support the justification of civil engineering structures, site infrastructure, and earthworks for the nuclear plant;
Acting as a geotechnical engineering expert for nuclear applications, as instructed by the unit leader across the company;
Initiating and leading the provision of technical specifications for geotechnical analysis and design packages to be subcontracted to the supply chain;
Acting as a reviewer for engineering works delivered internally or externally by partners/subcontractors;
Actively contributing to site selection, evaluation, and characterization programs by drafting and reviewing specifications for geotechnical and geophysical site survey campaigns;
Interpreting factual reports from field surveys and developing interpretation reports;
Supporting the global engineering team in optimizing the design and construction throughout the reactor's lifecycle.

What we expect from you

| WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

Master or higher degree in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, civil or structural engineering, or equivalent;
Proven experience in geotechnical analysis and design within complex nuclear projects (or other highly regulated environments);
Experience in designing systems for shallow and deep foundations, including seismic design and assessment of soil-structure interaction effects;
Demonstrated knowledge of numerical modeling software for geotechnical analysis and design (FLAC, PLAXIS, etc.);
Experience in site-scale ground column analysis, consolidation, and settlement assessment;
Ability to conduct stability assessments of earthworks;
In-depth knowledge of UK, US, or European codes, standards, regulations, and operational requirements;
Excellent communication skills and ability to write technical reports;
Willingness to travel to the UK and Italy to support the engineering team.
Proficiency in English is essential.
