VDL ETG Almelo is a high-tech development and production partner focused on delivering complex modules and systems for sectors such as semicon, medical technology, solar energy, and aerospace. As a Factory Engineer, you are responsible for setting up, supporting, and continuously improving the assembly process of complex mechatronic systems and modules. You act as the connecting link between assembly, engineering, project teams, and customers – ensuring everything runs seamlessly and efficiently.

Your responsibilities:

Setting up and optimizing production processes with a focus on quality, progress, and efficiency
Initiating and executing technical improvement plans
Acting as a technical sparring partner for customers, suppliers, engineering, and assembly
Monitoring product quality and technical compliance
Implementing and facilitating Lean Manufacturing tools
Supporting the introduction of new products (NPI) into production

What we expect from you

You think in possibilities, take initiative, and enjoy collaborating. You have strong analytical skills, are customer-oriented, and have a passion for technology.

Your profile:

Completed HBO or WO education in a technical field
Experience in a production or assembly environment within high-tech or mechatronics
Strong communication skills and a team spirit
Accurate, proactive, and responsible
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and process optimization (preferred)
