About this vacancy

The energy transition requires significant adjustments to our underground infrastructure. As an ecologist, you play a crucial role in combining this development with the care for nature and biodiversity.

You will join a team of ecologists, spatial planners, legal experts, urban designers, and landscape architects. Together, you work on a variety of projects across the Netherlands. Whether it's a quick scan, species research, or a permit application, the goal is always clear advice and practical, feasible solutions that respect nature and spatial development.

Your role as an ecologist:

Conducting ecological quick scans and desk studies for cable and pipeline routes
Mapping ecological risks and assessing projects against nature legislation
Providing clear advice for permit applications
Consulting with involved parties and conducting follow-up research where necessary
Contributing ideas on mitigating measures and nature-inclusive solutions

What we expect from you

Bachelor's or Master's degree in ecology, applied biology, or forest and nature management
Knowledge of relevant environmental laws and regulations
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Entrepreneurial and analytical personality
Affinity with civil engineering and spatial challenges
